We realise its a tough economic climate out there for you all and in response we've been tightening our letterspacing, reining in our swashes, cutting our punches (for the letterpress lovers amongst you), and ahem...pinching our crotch (it’s a typographic term you know). Free Font: Expletive Script Slanted

First ladies and gentlemen... for three weeks only (oh alright then one month) – we are giving away a previously unreleased font for free. Expletive is one of our most popular script typefaces, and until the end of August you can get your hands on a copy of this special slanted version. Just head for the Expletive page where you will find the download.

If you aren't familiar with Expletive Script – it is a delightful modular script font based on a circular form. The characters can go above and below the baseline to create interesting display typography and complex background patterns.

After many months concentrating on helping you cheer up your iPhone (no matter which way you hold it), your desktop must be feeling rather neglected. The Barnbrook Bible is now available at the lower price of $49. The book features the complete works of Jonathan Barnbrook and the studio, with a comprehensive survey and explanation of all the fonts released through VirusFonts and Emigre. Also includes are graphic, corporate and film design, work for David Bowie and an in-depth analysis of his unique collaboration with Damien Hirst. Each copy is individually signed by Jonathan.

Austerity Alert! Closing Down: Biennale of Sydney

Yes, Yes closing down!!!!...The Seventeenth Biennale of Sydney will be closing very soon. Ah well... no news there really because that’s when its supposed to close BUT that leaves you less than a week to see the fantastic festival of art. If you are in the Sydney area it's worth popping down to see. However the lovely catalogue we designed for them is now sold out but there is some merchandise still available and prints on sale here (did you spot the way we turned that into something to sell you stuff while you weren't looking AH you did, OK).

And Finaly – More Choice, For No Extra Effort You Lazy Bastards: All Fonts Now Available As OpenType

Following high demand, all of our fonts are finally available in OpenType. Now you can enjoy the multi-platform capability of this format without having to fiddle about with bitmap fonts and AFM files. Please note though this is a new format option only and offers no new features such as extra ligatures etc. This is mainly for people who are buying the fonts for the first time, however if you would like to upgrade any fonts purchased directly from us, please contact us for upgrade pricing.
